How Much Does a Small Business Website Cost? Real 2026 Prices

Ask five agencies what a website costs and you will get five ranges, most of them starting with “it depends.” It does depend, but a small business deserves real numbers before a sales call, so here are ours, in Canadian dollars, flat.
The three price points that cover most small businesses
- $1,497: a professional 1-page site, designed for your trade, mobile-first, built to get found on Google. At ContinuityOS this is the Starter build, and it carries a guarantee: live in 14 days or it is free (dependent on timely client feedback and approvals).
- $2,997: 3 to 5 pages built around how you sell, with the copywriting done for you and a Google Business Profile set up and optimized alongside it.
- From $4,997+ for custom builds: multi-location businesses, booking systems, client portals, integrations. Scoped before anything is built.
Why does the market range from $500 to $50,000? Because you are buying three different things: a template with your logo dropped in, a designed site built around your business, or a custom platform. Most small businesses need the middle one and get sold one of the other two.
The costs nobody mentions on the sales call
A website is not a one-time purchase. Budget for hosting and management (an annual fee that keeps the site fast, secure and backed up), content updates (either a monthly maintenance package or a portal that lets you make changes yourself), and your Google presence. A beautiful site that nobody finds is a brochure in a drawer, which is why our Growth builds include the Google Business Profile work from day one.
Why the first impression is worth the money
Stanford’s web credibility research found people evaluate a site on visual design alone, often before they read a word of it. Not the truck, not the reviews: the site.

Frequently asked questions
What do you need from me before you can start?
Your content: text, photos, logo files if you have them, and access to your domain. The build clock starts the day that lands, not the day you pay. If you do not have content ready, the Growth build includes copywriting, so we write it with you.
Is the $499 really credited, or is it on top?
Yes, in full. Whichever $499 door you start with, the whole amount comes off your project price. If you decide not to go ahead you keep the work.
Do I own my website?
Yes. The design, the code, the copy and images we produce for you, and your domain are all yours. While you are with us the site is hosted and managed on our infrastructure, which is what the hosting fee covers. If you ever want to bring it in-house or move to another provider, we transfer the code and the hosting project into your own accounts, with no downtime and no exit fee.
Do you work with businesses in the United States?
Yes. Prices here are shown in Canadian dollars and US clients are billed in US dollars. Everything else about how the work runs is identical.
I need more than a website. Can you help with that?
Yes. Alongside websites and Google Business Profile work we build AI automations and systems, and run AI training for teams: workshops that get your staff using the tools safely and well. That work starts with a free 15-minute intro call, then a scoped quote.
